A Complex Build in Magill
We are no strangers to tackling complex builds, but the project in Magill presented a particularly challenging endeavour. Situated on a sloping, previously undeveloped block, the home was strategically positioned midway on the block to take advantage of breathtaking views over Adelaide from both the first and second stories.
Constructing on a sloping site posed several obstacles, with one of the primary concerns being managing water runoff to prevent erosion. To address this issue, the team employed careful planning and implementation throughout the construction process, ensuring that no risk of erosion would occur. Retaining walls were built first, along with the installation of pumps and sumps to redirect stormwater back up to street level. This proactive approach prevented any potential damage and maintained the stability of the site. With each step carefully considered, the team worked their way up the slope, culminating in the construction of the house itself.
The end result was a magnificent home that not only stood strong against the challenges of the site, but also offered its occupants stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The attention to detail, meticulous planning, and unwavering dedication ensured the successful completion of the project. We take pride in our ability to transform challenging sites into remarkable living spaces.
